Ao Wang specializes in Chinese poetry and world music. He has published books and articles on ancient Chinese poetry and cartography, as well as four volumes of his own poetry. He is the recipient of the 2023 Shikan Best Critic Award and the Renmin Wenxue Young Poet Prize.
