Memorial for Susan Blader Planned for April 11, 2026

Our former colleague, Associate Professor Emerita Susan Blader passed away on October 10, 2025. The Department of Asian Societies, Languages, and Cultures is planning a memorial in honor of Susan to be held on the Dartmouth College campus on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

The memorial will consist of two events on Saturday, April 11th on the Dartmouth College campus. 

We will first gather at Dartmouth Hall, room 105, between 10am-noon, to share memories and stories of Susan's long career as a teacher, mentor, and scholar of China. This will be a hybrid event allowing participation from people who are unable to come to Dartmouth in person.

The remembrance will be followed by a buffet reception at the Top of the Hop in the Hopkins Center for the Arts from 12-1 pm.
